How fast can a technician arrive for a broken freezer?
Across our 22 GTA cities, same day or next day. A failing freezer is treated as an emergency — frozen food spoils within 48 hours of failure. Will my food survive while I wait for the tech?
Frozen food in a closed full freezer typically stays safe for 36–48 hours; a half-empty freezer drops to 24 hours. Don't open the door unnecessarily. If the unit is fully off, transfer to a cooler with dry ice if available, or to a neighbour's freezer.
Is it worth repairing a 10-year-old chest freezer?
Often yes — chest freezers have an 11-year average useful life and the most common repairs (defrost components, start relay, thermostat) run well below the 50% rule threshold. Upright freezers with electronic controls are more borderline; ACW Rob will walk you through the math honestly when you call.
Do you repair stand-alone freezers and the freezer compartment of a fridge?
Both. Stand-alone chest, upright, and drawer freezers, plus the freezer compartment of any side-by-side, top-mount, bottom-mount, or French-door refrigerator. Tell us the appliance type when you call so we send a tech with the right parts on the truck.
What if my freezer is still under manufacturer warranty?
Tell us the brand and the serial number when you call — we'll check whether the manufacturer covers in-warranty repair through their authorized network or through us. If they don't cover it, we'll quote our own repair so you can compare.
